Hello, I say to friends, poets, travelers and unknown warriors,

I have not posted on this site for a long while initially due to being messy-busy then due to being very unwell. I seem to have collected chronic illnesses to add to life-long and new disabilities. I’ve recently written an article in a local newspaper called Left Lion about these experiences, so instead of boring you here, I’ll let you decide if you’d like to know more by clicking the link.

For a while, I could not write or talk much, which let me tell you, refocuses you somewhat when you can. I’ve been slowly compiling my work into books. Between computer and brain crashes and bouts of bardic outbursts, this is taking time. I’m also trying my hand at fan fiction, which began as an exercise to flex my literary muscles while escaping the adult world, yet seems to be evolving. Here is a link.

Since December last year, I’ve been ferociously adding to my new blog/website called 48 Percent Life . It’s already chock full of poems, both political and personal, relating to the state of different nation states. In particular, it’s directed at the present chaos in UK politics. As ever, there is always hope in the margins.

I’m also working on a project for accessible, adaptive independent arts in my city. The website is under construction but you can sneak a peek at NottNormal before it’s officially unleashed on an unsuspecting and unprepared public. Humour and inclusion run at the core of the project, which aims to open up the art world to differences of ability and perception. We reject the cliches of community arts and believe that we can push the boundaries of creative practice by challenging and reworking accepted forms and aesthetics.

From time to time I will update you and may soon add more poems and links. Meanwhile, keep writing and reading, casting words into the silence and shaping your realities with thoughts and dreams.
